Below is a list of commonly asked questions, organized into the categories for ease and convenience. We invite you to click on each title to review the questions and answers in order to best plan your visit to our venue.

FOOD & DRINK

Does the ticket price include food?


No. Your ticket price covers your admission to the selected show, as well as the cost of the entertainment. Food and beverages are purchased separately.




Can I to bring my own bottle of wine?


Yes. However, there is a $15 corkage fee per bottle.




Is there a food or drink minimum requirement?


Yes. In addition to the price of your ticket, there is a $15 per person minimum charge for food and/or drink. As with any business, we rely on sales of our goods to stay in business; therefore, a $15 charge will be applied when food or beverage has not been purchased. Additionally, our staff caters to each patron a minimum of 2 hours throughout the evening. Therefore, 15% gratuity is added to all food and beverage purchases.




Can I bring a birthday cake?


We enjoy celebrating birthdays and appreciate you choosing to celebrate yourspecial day. However, outside food and beverages are not permitted. Birthday cakes are only permitted when renting our space.




Do you serve food?


Yes. We offer table service dining. Our menu consists of small plate/tapas style items designed for nibbling while enjoying the show. We also have a great selection of wines and signature cocktails. Click here to view our menus.





SEATING

Do you have Handicap accessible seating


Absolutely! Handicap accessible seating for patrons and their party, as well as patrons with trained guide dogs is available in designated areas of the venue. If special accommodations are required, please notify us via to info@chayzlounge.com at the time of ticket purchase.




Is there standing room if all seats are filled?


No. Standing at the bar, in the hallway, or in any area of the venue to view the perfomance is not permitted.




What time should I I arrive for a show?


Doors open an hour before showtime. Arrive early for a relaxed dining experience, to take advantage of our Cocktail Hour specials, and for the best parking in the lot adjacent to our building.




Can I choose seating at a specific table?


Yes. When purchasing your ticket(s), use the seating chart to select the table that is right for you. If others are joining you under separate tickets, please be sure they have your table number.




What is seating like at Chayz Lounge?


Our room is arranged with tables for parties of 2, 3, and 4. In order manage the modified occupancy of our space due social distancing, we cannot combine tables or add chairs to these tables to accommodate larger parties.




Do you have bar seating?


No. And, Standing at the bar is not permitted.




Do I need to make a reservation?


Reservations are are by way advanced ticket purchases. We are operating at half our seating capacity due to COVID; thereby allowing us to provide adequate distance between tables. Because of this, our seats fill quickly. We recommend that you purchase tickets to your desired show early. Click here to see our lineup of shows and to purchase tickets.




What if I'm running late?


Seat(s) purchased are held until the start of the show and then released for resale to the next person/party on our waitlist. If you are running late, please let us know via text to (803) 563-8375 and we will hold your seat(s) for a period of 30 minutes, after which they will be released for resale.




Can I purchase all of the seats at a table?


Yes. However, a surcharge will be assessed. As you may be aware, the revenue from tickets purchased covers the cost of the acts we book. We rely on seat occupancy and the purchase of food & beverage to keep our doors open. In the event that seats are purchased to limit our capacity, (e.g., a party of 2 purchases all seats at a table for 4), you will be assessed a $20 surcharge for each unoccupied set. This will aid us in covering our operating expenses in the absence of bodies in our seats.




I have a party of 5. Can we sit together?


No. Our room is arranged with tables for parties of 2, 3, and 4. In order manage the modified occupancy of our space (due social distancing), we cannot combine tables or add chairs to these tables to accommodate larger parties.





COVID GUIDELINES

What safety measures are you taking during COVID?


The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our highest priority. We are very stringent in making sure we maintain a clean and safe space. We have also reduced our seating capacity to provide adequate distance between tables and require that face masks/face coverings be worn when not seated. This includes walking to the restroom, dancing, and entering/exiting our venue. Click here to review all of the Health And Safety measures we have implemented.




Are face masks required to enter the venue?


Yes. In keeping with our safety standards, and until we believe it is no longer necessary, a face mask/face covering is required when not seated. This includes walking to the restroom, dancing, and entering/exiting our venue. Please note: We reserves the right to deny admission to any person who refuses to wear a mask/face covering.





VENUE GUIDELINES

Are children/minors allowed to attend shows?


Chayz Lounge is a mature, adult only venue that is conducive for adults 25 years or older. However, the minimum age requirement is 21.




Can tickets be refunded or exchanged?


No. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued due to scheduling conflicts, illness, or other personal issues. We also do not have a credit system, as each show is unique and funds are not transferable from one event to another. Click here to review our complete refund policy.




Can I take pictures or video?


You can take pictures to share on social media. However, due to contractual obligations, the recording of any performance (audio or video) is strictly prohibited. We encourage you to put your phones away and enjoy the show.




Can I watch sports at your venue?


No. Chayz Lounge is not a sports bar. Ours is an intimate listening room that’s designed for the enjoyment of live jazz and smooth soul performances.




Is dancing allowed?


Yes. If the music move you, then feel free to get up and dance. Although there is not a designated dance area, many patrons are happy with any space they can find to dance.




Is smoking allowed?


No. Chayz Lounge is a non-smoking establisment and smoking is not permitted on our patio. Patrons wishing to smoke must do so at least fifty (50) feet of the away from the building.




Should I print my ticket?


You do not have to print your ticket(s). We have an electronic record of your purchase and will check you in electronically when you arrive.





DRESS CODE

Is there a dress code?


Yes. A dressy attire is required to attend our shows. The following attire is not permitted: Athletic wear Ball caps or Do-rag Tennis shoes/sneakers Cut-off shirt or shorts Hoodies Ripped, frayed, tattered or sagging pants/jeans Clothing with offensive graphics or language Revealing clothing or exposed undergarments Our Dress Code Policy is actively enforced. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to inform everyone in their party of our Dress Code Policy so that there are no surprises upon arrival. We reserves the right to deny admission to any person whose attire is not in keeping with our Dress Code Policy.




Can I wear jeans


Yes. However, please keep in mind that ripped, frayed, tattered or sagging pants/jean are not permitted.

Where is Chayz Lounge located?


We are located at 607 Meeting Street in West Columbia, SC. We are 5-minutes, 1.5 miles from the Gervais Street Bridge on the left side of the street. Click here to view the map.

How can I get a booking at Chayz Lounge?


To be considered for booking, email your EPK to promo@chayzlounge.com. Be sure to include videos of live performances, links to your website and Social Media platforms and a professional photo. No phone calls please. If we find that your music and performance style is a fit for Chayz Lounge, someone will contact you.




Where can I park?


Parking is available in our adjacent to our building, as well as in our neighboring business.




What's the length of the shows?


Our shows range from 75 to 120 minutes, depending on the act.




What can I expect at Chayz Lounge?


Chayz Lounge offers an elegant, safe space to relax, unwind, and enjoy the finest smooth jazz and rhythm & blues acts in a way that is best described as an intimate concert. The entertainment is the focus at our venue. As a courtesy to the performers and other guests, we ask that you refrain from loud talking during performances We kindly ask that our guests silence all electronic devices.
