Late Arrival

We encourage you to arrive early to dine and unwind before our shows. Although you purchased ticket(s),  your seat will only be held until the start of the show, then it will be released to the next person on our waitlist. If you are running late, text or call the venue at (803) 563-8375 so we can arrange to hold your seat(s). Where are you located?


We are located at 607 Meeting Street in the heart of the River District in West Columbia, SC. We are 5-minutes, 1.5 miles from the Gervais Street Bridge. Click here to view the map.




Does the ticket price include food?


No. Your ticket price covers your admission and pays for the cost of the entertainment. Food and beverages are purchased separately. We have a two (2) item minimum food and/or beverage purchase per person in place. A $10 charge will be applied only where no food or beverage has been purchased. Additionally, our staff caters to each patron a minimum of 2 hours throughout the evening. When purchases are made, 15% gratuity is automatically added to each bill.




Is there an age requirement to attend a shows?


Chayz Lounge is a mature, adult only venue that is conducive for adults 25 years or older. However, the minimum age requirement is 21. Children are not allowed to attend shows, even when accompanied by an adult.




What is the dress code?


A dressy or business attire is required to attend all shows. Sport or athletic attire, ball cap, flip-flops, tennis shoes, sweatshirt, ripped or cut-off jeans tee shirt with graphics are not permitted. Click here for more information. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any person whose attire is not in keeping with our dress code.




How can I purchase tickets to your shows?


Tickets can be purchased by clicking the Shows tab on this site. Once there, find the show you would like to attend and then click the "GET TICKETS" button. Your ticket(s) will then be emailed to you. If you do not receive it within 5 minutes of your purchase, check your Spam or Junk folder.




What is the refund policy?


All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued due to scheduling conflicts, illness, or other personal issues. We also do not have a credit system, as each show is unique and funds are not transferable from one event to another. Click here to review our complete refund policy.




Is there standing allowed?


No. There is no standing room at Chayz Lounge. Seating is assigned and all ticket holders are guaranteed seating.




Do you rent Chayz Lounge for private events?


Yes. In addition to being designed as the place to experience the finest live jazz and rhythm & blues performances, Chayz Lounge is also ideal for private functions. Click here to learn more.

How early can I arrive for a show?


Doors open one hour prior to show time. You can enter Chayz Lounge at that time to dine before the show.




What method of payments do you accept?


We accept cash, American Express, VISA, MasterCard, and debit cards




Am I allowed to bring my own bottle of wine?


Yes. However, there is a $15 corkage fee per bottle.




Am I able to watch sports at your venue?


No. Chayz Lounge is not a sports bar. Ours is an intimate listening room that’s designed for the enjoyment of live jazz and smooth soul performances.




Is dancing allowed?


Yes. If the music move you, then feel free to get up and dance. Although there is not a designated dance area, many patrons are happy with any space they can find to dance.




Do you have a food/beverage minimum requirement?


Yes. In addition to the ticket price, there is a two (2) item minimum food and/or beverage purchase required per person. A $10 charge will be applied only where no food or beverage has been purchased. As with any business, we rely on sales of our goods to stay in business. Without that, our business will certainly close. Additionally, our staff caters to each patron a minimum of 2 hours throughout the evening. Is smoking allowed?


No! Chayz Lounge is a non-smoking establisment. Patrons wishing to smoke must do so at least fifty (50) feet of the away from the building.




I'm a musician. How can I get a booking at your venue?


To be considered for booking at Chayz Lounge, email your EPK to promo@chayzlounge.com. Be sure to include videos of live performances, links to your website and Social Media platforms and a professional photo. No phone calls please. If we find that your music and performance style is a fit for Chayz Lounge, someone will contact you.




Can I choose a specific seat or table?


Yes. When purchasing your ticket(s), use the seating chart to select the table that's right for you. If others are joining you under separate tickets, please be sure they have your table number.




Can I bring a birthday cake?


We enjoy celebrating birthdays and appreciate you choosing to send yours with us. However, outside food and beverages are not permitted. Birthday cakes are only permitted when renting our space.




Why do you have cover a charge?


In order to compensate the extraordinary level of talent featured at our venue, we must charge admission. The average cover charge is $25. However, depending on the performer or band, the cover charge can be higher.




Do you serve food?


Yes. We offer a table service dining experience. Our menu consists of small plate/tapas style items designed for nibbling while enjoying the show. Click here to view our menus.




What is seating like at Chayz Lounge?


The seating at Chayz Lounge is cabaret style with a maximum of 4 people to a table.




Do have bar seating?


No. We offer a table service dining experience. And, the seating is cabaret style/table seating with a maximum of 4 people to a table.




Can I reserve seating for a show?


Reservations are secured with advanced ticket purchases. Click here to see our lineup of shows and to purchase tickets. You can also purchase tickets in person during hours of operation.




What safety measures are you taking during COVID-19?


The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our highest priority. We have always taken steps to mitigate the spread of germs in our establishment and we’re more vigilant in our efforts in the wake of the COVID-19/Coronavirus outbreak. We are being very stringent in making sure we maintain a clean and safe space for our patrons and staff. We have reduced our capacity from 75 to 37, allowing us to provide 6+ feet of distance between tables; we have switched the bulk of tables to 2-seaters to avoid our guests being uncomfortable with sitting with strangers; face mask or face covering is required while in our space, except when eating or drinking.
